William Cookson

William was born in February 1654 in Wellington, Shropshire and his baptism took place on March 5th, 1654 in Christ Church, Wellington, Shropshire.  William's father was John Cookson and his mother was Jane Pekah.  His paternal grandparents were Matthew Cookson and Catherine Unknown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Matthewe, William, Edward, Humphrey, Jane, Margaret, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth and Jane.  He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
