Matthewe Cookson

Matthewe was born in February 1639 in Wellington, Shropshire and his baptism took place on March 1st, 1639.  Matthewe's father was John Cookson and his mother was Jane Pekah.  His paternal grandparents were Matthew Cookson and Catherine Unknown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William, William, Edward, Humphrey, Jane, Margaret, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth and Jane.  He was the oldest of the eleven children.
