Mary Jane Edwards Cookson 
Mary Jane Edwards was born on April 24th, 1799 in Port Royal, Jamaica. Mary Jane Edwards' father was Charles Norris Cookson and her mother was Mary Margaret Weir. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Cookson and Sarah Hull; her maternal grandparents were Thomas (William) Weir and Mary Yates. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Robert, Joseph Yates (COOKSON), George Yates, George James, Charles, Elizabeth Sarah, Mary Anna Helena and Sophia Elizabeth Creasey. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 73 on September 13th, 1872 in Lewisham, Surrey.-
