George Aitchison 
George was born on May 15th, 1802 in Coldingham, Berwickshire, Scotland. George's father was William Aitchison and his mother was Elizabeth Nairne. His paternal grandparents were John Aitchison and Janet Tweedie; his maternal grandparents were John Nairne and Janet Robertson. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, William, David, Elizabeth, Janet, Margaret and Mary Nairne. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
