David Aitchison 
David was born on October 17th, 1817 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. David's father was William Aitchison and his mother was Elizabeth Nairne. His paternal grandparents were John Aitchison and Janet Tweedie; his maternal grandparents were John Nairne and Janet Robertson. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, George, William, Elizabeth, Janet, Margaret and Mary Nairne. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 in 1898 in The Firs, Maidenhead.-
