Sarah Coates

Sarah was born in 1769 in Otley, Yorkshire and her baptism took place there on May 14th, 1769.  Sarah's father was William Coates and her mother was Elizabeth Petty.  Her paternal grandfather was Richard Coates. She had two brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Franceas, Ann, Betty and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
