Betty Coates

Betty was born in 1771 in Otley, Yorkshire and her baptism took place there on February 24th, 1771.  Betty's father was William Coates and her mother was Elizabeth Petty.  Her paternal grandfather was Richard Coates. She had two brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Franceas, Ann, Sarah and Sarah.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.
