Ellen Butler 
Ellen was born in 1887 in Bramley, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Ellen's father was Joseph Butler and her mother was Mary Braithwaite. Her paternal grandparents were William Butler and Mary Arendall. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Harry, Sam, Isaac, Willie, John, Sarah, Annie and Louie. She was the third oldest of the nine children.-
