Joseph Butler

Joseph was born in 1859 in Bramley, Leeds, Yorkshire.¹   Joseph's father was William Butler and his mother was Mary Arendall.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Butler and Nancy. He had four brothers named Thomas, Samuel, James and George.  He was the youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother named William.
