Jack was born on December 12th, 1900 in Hastings, New Zealand.¹ Jack's father was William TAYLOR and his mother was Charlotte (Lottie) COOK. His maternal grandparents were John Edward COOK and Fanny HALL. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Bill and Doris. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 92 in 1992 in Wellington, New Zealand. His burial was in Awa Tapu Cemetery Paraparaumu, New Zealand.¹¹
