Doris was born in 1906 in Hastings, New Zealand.¹ Doris' father was William TAYLOR and her mother was Charlotte (Lottie) COOK. Her maternal grandparents were John Edward COOK and Fanny HALL. She had three brothers named Jack, Thomas and Bill. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 50 in 1956 in Hastings, New Zealand. The funeral took place in St.Lukes Anglican Church Havelock North, New Zealand. She was buried in Havelock North Cemetery, New Zealand.¹¹
