Charlotte, known as Lottie, was born in 1871 in Whangarei, New Zealand.¹ Lottie's father was John Edward COOK and her mother was Fanny HALL. Her maternal grandparents were Elijah HALL and Sarah SILVESTER. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Ted, George, Sarah, Louisa, Annie, Emily, Fanny and Daisy. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 88 in 1959 in Hastings, New Zealand. She was buried in Havelock North Cemetery, New Zealand.¹¹
