William Gibson 
William was born on January 7th, 1834 and his baptism took place on February 12th, 1834 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland.1 William's father was James Gibson and his mother was Margaret Bruce Hardie. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Gibson and Isabella Greig; his maternal grandparents were James Hardie and Christian Thomson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named David, James, Ann, Jean, Mary and Agnes. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 40 in 1874 in Arbroath, Angus, Scotland.2 -
