James Gibson 
James was born on November 5th, 1841 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland and his baptism took place there on November 21st, 1841.1 2 James' father was James Gibson and his mother was Margaret Bruce Hardie. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Gibson and Isabella Greig; his maternal grandparents were James Hardie and Christian Thomson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named David, William, Ann, Jean, Mary and Agnes. He was the third youngest of the seven children.-
