Alice de Courtenay

Alice was born in 1289 in Oakhampton, Devonshire, England.¹ Alice's father was Baron of Okehampton Hugh de Courtenay and her mother was Alinore le Despencer. Her paternal grandparents were Sir John de Courtenay and Isabelle De Vere. She had five brothers and six sisters, named 9th Earl of Devon Hugh, Philip, Thomas, John, Robert, Eleanor, Avelina, Margaret, Isabel, Egeline and Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the twelve children.
