Sarah Lou Roberts

Sarah Lou was born in September 1849 in Rockingham Co, NC.¹ Sarah Lou's father was James Dutch Roberts and her mother was Nancy Jane Sneed. Her paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Susannah Thomas. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Adolphus Douglas, James William, Susie, Caroline Matilda, Martha S., Catherine Eliza, Mary Lee and Cornelia Sophia 'Nealy'. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Robert, James W., John Willie, Robert Monroe 'Monk', Martha, Minnie and Mattie Ivie. She died at the age of 57 in 1906 in Rockingham Co, NC.¹
