James Dutch Roberts 
James Dutch was born on March 17th, 1826 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 James Dutch's father was James Roberts and his mother was Susannah Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had six brothers and two sisters, named George W., Michael F., John, Richard M., Daniel, Nebuchanezer, Martha and Mary. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers named Noah, Robert, William Allen and Henry. He died at the age of 74 in 1900.1 General Notes
