Mary Roberts 
Mary was born in 1828 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Mary's father was James Roberts and her mother was Susannah Thomas. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. She had seven brothers and a sister, named George W., Michael F., John, Richard M., Daniel, James Dutch, Nebuchanezer and Martha. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She had four half-brothers named Noah, Robert, William Allen and Henry.1 General Notes
