Richard M. Roberts 
Richard M. was born in 1821 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Richard M.'s father was James Roberts and his mother was Susannah Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had six brothers and two sisters, named George W., Michael F., John, Daniel, James Dutch, Nebuchanezer, Martha and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers named Noah, Robert, William Allen and Henry. He died at the age of 49 in 1870.1 General Notes
