August Roberts 
August was born in 1909 in Rockingham Co, NC. August's father was Lawrence E. 'Tosh' Roberts and his mother was Elizabeth 'Betty' Shreve. His paternal grandparents were Robert J. Roberts and Julia A. Webster. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas George, Elbert Lawrence, Troy, Harry, Leana, Julia Katherine, Eva, Nettie and Edna.
