Robert J. Roberts 
Robert J. was born on June 16th, 1828 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Robert J.'s father was Martin Roberts and his mother was Elizabeth Gilliland. His paternal grandparents were Naman Roberts and Mary A. G. Unknown. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John G., Samuel, James Ellis, William, Martin Pinckey, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 76 in 1904.1 General Notes
