Edith Edney was born about 1844.1 Edith Edney's father was Weldon " William" Goode Foster and her mother was Zilphia "Silpha" Jarvis. Her paternal grandparents were Zenas G. Foster and Dinah Taylor. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Henderson W., Alexander, Franklin "Francis", John H., Joseph Henry, Hannah and Mary Ann. She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
