Anne Carter

Anne was born on December 4th, 1588 in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England.¹ Anne's father was William Carter Jr. and her mother was Mary Anscell. Her paternal grandparents were William Carter Sr. and Elizabeth Glover Cranfield; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Anscell and Elizabeth Wheatley. She had eight brothers and eight sisters, named Thomas, Nicholas, William, Oliver, William, Robert, John, William, Anne, Winifred, Mary, Amye, Elizabeth, Temperence, Ursula and Alice. She was the seventh youngest of the seventeen children.
