Alice Carter

Alice was born on November 5th, 1595 in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England.¹ Alice's father was William Carter Jr. and her mother was Mary Anscell. Her paternal grandparents were William Carter Sr. and Elizabeth Glover Cranfield; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Anscell and Elizabeth Wheatley. She had eight brothers and eight sisters, named Thomas, Nicholas, William, Oliver, William, Robert, John, William, Anne, Winifred, Mary, Amye, Elizabeth, Temperence, Anne and Ursula. She was the third youngest of the seventeen children.
