George S. Welch 
George S. was born on April 5th, 1847 in McDonough Co, IL.1 George S.'s father was George Washington Welch and his mother was Mary D. Caldwell. His paternal grandparents were Osias Welch and Elizabeth Rowland; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Caldwell and Nancy Caldwell. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Elijah A., Elisha C., James M., David L., Charles T., John H., William Joseph, Albert B., Amanda M., Nancy J., Mary Adaline, Sarah Isabell and Emma T.. He was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 58 on November 5th, 1905 in Denver, Jefferson Co, CO.1 -
