William Cephus Smith

William Cephus was born on March 27th, 1861 in Little Rock, Arkansas.¹ William Cephus' father was John Franklin Smith and his mother was Sarah E. Reep. His paternal grandparents were James Smith and Jane Marcum. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Marcus Allen, Phillip Lafayette, Emma F. and Laura Jane. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Marion Franklin, John Harold, Mary Permelia, Nellie Frances, Hattie Jeanette and Lillie. He died at the age of 83 on October 9th, 1944 in San Diego, San Diego, CA.¹
