Marcus Allen Smith

Marcus Allen was born on August 11th, 1857 in Little Rock, Arkansas, U.¹ Marcus Allen's father was John Franklin Smith and his mother was Sarah E. Reep. His paternal grandparents were James Smith and Jane Marcum. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Phillip Lafayette, William Cephus, Emma F. and Laura Jane. He was the oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Marion Franklin, John Harold, Mary Permelia, Nellie Frances, Hattie Jeanette and Lillie. He died at the age of 84 in February 1942 in Montebello, Los Angeles, CA.¹
