Phillip Lafayette Smith

Phillip Lafayette was born in 1859 in Little Rock, Arkansas.¹ Phillip Lafayette's father was John Franklin Smith and his mother was Sarah E. Reep. His paternal grandparents were James Smith and Jane Marcum. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Marcus Allen, William Cephus, Emma F. and Laura Jane. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Marion Franklin, John Harold, Mary Permelia, Nellie Frances, Hattie Jeanette and Lillie. He died at the age of 33 in 1892 in Montebello, Los Angeles, CA.¹
