John Rathbun 
John was born on June 26th, 1729 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut.1 John's father was Joshua Rathbun and his mother was Mary Wightman. His paternal grandparents were John Rathbone and Ann Dodge; his maternal grandparents were Valentine Wightman and Susannah Holmes. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Valentine W, Jacob, Wait, Job, Amos, Daniel, Mary, Anna, Susannah and Martha. He had a half-brother named Joshua.1 -
