Obadiah was born in Preston, Lancashire, England and his baptism took place in Didsbury, Manchester, Lancastershire, England.1 2 Obadiah's father was Robert Hulme and his mother was Katherine Johnson. His paternal grandparents were Robert Hulme and Alice Unknown; his maternal grandfather was William Johnson. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, Nathaniel, Robert, Joseph, Samuel and Joan. He died on October 15th, 1682 in Middletown, Newport, Rhode Island.2 -
