Edward C. Mew 
Edward C. was born in 1859 in Beaufort Dist., SC.1 Edward C.'s father was John Pringle Mew and his mother was Emily Ann Smart. His paternal grandparents were Macamee Mew and Ann Rutledge Smith. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John Rufus, Henry, James Alexander, Martha Elizabeth, Florence Ann, Julia Leocardia, Laura Josephine, Mary Ellen and Harriet Isabel. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 16 in 1875.1 -
