Marguerite Metivier 
Marguerite was born on February 7th, 1822 in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada.1 Marguerite's father was Louis Gedeon Metivier and her mother was Marie Louise Giroux. Her paternal grandparents were Jacques Metivier and Marie Catherine Minville; her maternal grandparents were Basile Giroux and Marie Louise Brosseau. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Basile, Francois, Medard, Louis Gedeon, Baptiste Moise, Marie Angelique, Elenore, Clotilde, Marie Salomee, Julienne and Marie Louise. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She had a half-sister named Mary Elizabeth.1 -
