Major Jones

Major was born about 1775 in Poundridge, Fairfield, Connecticut.¹ Major's father was Benjamin Jones and his mother was Jemima Delavan. His paternal grandfather was Ebenezer Jones. He had six brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Benjamin, Lewis, Harry, Samuel, Rhoda, Rebecca and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the ten children.¹
