Christopher Gifford

Christopher was born about 1748 in Sandwich, Massachusetts ?.¹ Christopher's father was Peleg Gifford and his mother was Abigail Sheperd. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Gifford and Lydia Abbott; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Shepard and Mary Sherman. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Peleg, Daniel, Abraham, Noah, Levi, Abigail, Tamar, Mariah and Mary. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died on June 26th, 1833 in Butternuts, Otsego County, New York.¹
