Major Franklin Farmer 
Major Franklin was born on February 22nd, 1876 in Tellico Plains, Tennessee.1 Major Franklin's father was John Nelson Farmer and his mother was Margaret Elizabeth Hunt. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Farmer and Rebecca Buchannon; his maternal grandparents were George Washington [Washie] Hunt and Mary Carolyn [Polly] Wilson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel Ira, John Ulysses, William Arthur, Lillie Olivan and Margaret Isable [Mag]. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 82 on November 17th, 1958.1 -
