John Nelson Farmer

John Nelson was born on September 22nd, 1842 in Murphy, Cherokee, North Carolina.¹   John Nelson's father was Joshua Farmer and his mother was Rebecca Buchannon. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Emanuel [Manly], Samuel A, Dorcas Jane, Mary Melvina, Sara Luncinda and Artie May [Artie].  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 67 on May 26th, 1910 in Tellico Plains, Tennessee.¹
