Mary Melvina Farmer

Mary Melvina was born on August 8th, 1844 in Murphy, Cherokee, North Carolina.¹   Mary Melvina's father was Joshua Farmer and her mother was Rebecca Buchannon. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John Nelson, William Emanuel [Manly], Samuel A, Dorcas Jane, Sara Luncinda and Artie May [Artie].  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 70 in September 1914 in Arkansas.¹
