Dorcas Jane Farmer

Dorcas Jane was born on December 20th, 1842 in Murphy, Cherokee, North Carolina.¹   Dorcas Jane's father was Joshua Farmer and her mother was Rebecca Buchannon. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John Nelson, William Emanuel [Manly], Samuel A, Mary Melvina, Sara Luncinda and Artie May [Artie].  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 83 on February 17th, 1926 in Christie, Adair, Oklahoma.¹
