John Gordon Evans 
John Gordon was born on February 27th, 1880 in Screven Co., GA.1 John Gordon's father was John Ruel Evans and his mother was Mary Clarissa Robbins. His paternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James Ruel, Edwin Thomas, Capus Bowie, Tucker McCall, William Roy, Madie and Hattie Evalina. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 19 on May 1st, 1899.1 General Notes
