Hattie Evalina was born on January 21st, 1874 in Screven Co., GA.1 Hattie Evalina's father was John Ruel Evans and her mother was Mary Clarissa Robbins. Her paternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. She had six brothers and a sister, named James Ruel, Edwin Thomas, Capus Bowie, Tucker McCall, John Gordon, William Roy and Madie. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 76 on November 3rd, 1950.1 General Notes
