Capus Bowie was born on December 19th, 1871 in Screven Co., GA.1 Capus Bowie's father was John Ruel Evans and his mother was Mary Clarissa Robbins. His paternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James Ruel, Edwin Thomas, Tucker McCall, John Gordon, William Roy, Madie and Hattie Evalina. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on October 10th, 1946.1 General Notes
