Henry was born about 1790 in Loudon Co., VA. Henry's father was Frederick Troxell and his mother is Anna Hess. His paternal grandparents were David Troxell and Anna Elizabeth Saeger; his maternal grandfather is Apollis Hess. He had five brothers and a sister, named David, John, Frederick, Samuel, Vernon and Elizabeth. He is the third oldest of the seven children.General Notes
