Frederick was born about 1791 in VA. Frederick's father was Frederick Troxell and his mother is Anna Hess. His paternal grandparents were David Troxell and Anna Elizabeth Saeger; his maternal grandfather is Apollis Hess. He had five brothers and a sister, named David, John, Henry, Samuel, Vernon and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died in Thurmont, MD.General Notes
