Prudence Sumner 
Prudence was born on March 10th, 1760 in Guilford, NC. Prudence's father was Robert Sumner and her mother was Phoebe Beals. Her maternal grandparents were John II+ Beals and Sarah+ Bowater. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John William, Bowater, Caleb, Joshua, Thomas, Robert, Phebe, Abigail and Sarah. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers named John and Charles. She died at the age of 75 on September 28th, 1835 in Delaware Co., IN.General Notes
