Bowater Sumner 
Bowater was born on October 20th, 1749 in NC. Bowater's father was Robert Sumner and his mother was Phoebe Beals. His maternal grandparents were John II+ Beals and Sarah+ Bowater. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John William, Caleb, Joshua, Thomas, Robert, Phebe, Prudence, Abigail and Sarah. He is the second oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers named John and Charles.General Notes
