Lionel+ was born on November 29th, 1328 in Antwerp, Belgium. Lionel+'s father was Edward III+ Plantagenet and his mother was Philippa D'+ Avesnes. His paternal grandparents were Edward II+ Plantagenet and Isabelle+ Capet; his maternal grandparents were Willem III De+ Avesnes and Jeanne De+ Valois. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward, John Of Gaunt+, Edmund+, Thomas+, Isabella, Joan, Mary and Margaret. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died due to possibly being poisoned. at the age of 39 on October 17th, 1368 in Alba, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy. He was buried in Augustine Friars, Clare, Suffolk, England.General Notes
