Thomas+ was born on January 7th, 1355 in Palace Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. Thomas+'s father was Edward III+ Plantagenet and his mother was Philippa D'+ Avesnes. His paternal grandparents were Edward II+ Plantagenet and Isabelle+ Capet; his maternal grandparents were Willem III De+ Avesnes and Jeanne De+ Valois. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Lionel+, Edward, John Of Gaunt+, Edmund+, Isabella, Joan, Mary and Margaret. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 42 on September 8th, 1397 in Calais, Pas-de-Calais, France. He was buried in St. Edmund's, Westminster, Middlesex, England.General Notes
