Edward was born on June 15th, 1330 in Woodstck, Oxfordshire, England. Edward's father was Edward III+ Plantagenet and his mother was Philippa D'+ Avesnes. His paternal grandparents were Edward II+ Plantagenet and Isabelle+ Capet; his maternal grandparents were Willem III De+ Avesnes and Jeanne De+ Valois. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Lionel+, John Of Gaunt+, Edmund+, Thomas+, Isabella, Joan, Mary and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 45 on June 8th, 1376 in Westminster Palace, Berkshire, England. He was buried on September 29th, 1376 in Cathedral Canterbury, Kent, England.General Notes
