Edna Ann was born about 1815. Edna Ann's father was Caleb William Mills and her mother was Erzilla East. Her paternal grandparents were John Mills and Martha Ewing; her maternal grandparents were North East and Kerenhappuch Peyton. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Syddenham, William L., Josephine Doscia, Cleopatra Penelope, Adromacha and Keren Happuch. She is the oldest of the seven children.
