William Dodson Mikels 
William Dodson was born on January 21st, 1834 in Moravian Falls, Wilkes Co., NC. William Dodson's father was David Hugh Mikels and his mother was Marguerite Minerva Swiney. His paternal grandparents were David Hugh Michael and Lucinda Doty. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Moses Loren, David Hugh, John C., Thomas N., Susan, Nancy J. and Bethany Louisa. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 45 on February 22nd, 1879 in Arkoma, Indian Territory.General Notes
